## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ATL89LA181](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ATL89LA181), Jul 19, 1989: Piper PA-28-235 (N8914W), Somerset, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: THE PILOT'S FAILURE TO ADEQUATELY PERFORM AN AIRPLANE PRE-FLIGHT INSPECTION AND DRAIN WATER PRESENT IN THE AIRPLANE FUEL SUPPLY. THE AIRPLANE ENGINE SUBSEQUENTLY LOST POWER DUE TO THE WATER…

## Other reports on N8914W (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19800316040319I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19800316040319I), Mar 16, 1980: Piper PA28235 (N8914W), Salem, OH, Minor damage. Lost directional control on landing rollout.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
