## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FLYING TOWARD THE LIGHTED AREA, HE ARRIVED AT THE TULSA AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT RADIO WAS TUNED TO OKC APPROACH CONTROL SO HE HAD NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE TULSA AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD ON THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR AND THE STRUT BROKE. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST AT THE RUNWAY EDGE. THE RUNWAY WAS CLOSED FOR 1 HOUR AND 46 MINUTES UNTIL A RECOVERY CREW COULD MOVE THE AIRCRAFT. STUDENT HAS SINCE RECEIVED ADDITIONAL TRAINING. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
