## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: CONTINENTAL AIRLINES REPORTED THAT THE AUTO MODE OF THE CABIN TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER RIGHT PACK MALFUNCTIONED TO THE FULL HOT POSITION AND SHUT DOWN. THE FLOW LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CABIN PRESSURIZATION BEGAN TO CLIMB. THE CAPTAIN MADE AN EMERGENCY DESCENT TO 10,000 FEET. THE AIRCRAFT MADE A NORMAL LANDING AT NEW ORLEANS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES FOR CONTINENTAL AIRLINES. A MALFUNCTION OR DEFECT REPORT WILL FOLLOW.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
