## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JANUARY 4, 1995, ABOUT 22:00 P.M., CESSNA 402C, N55LP, STRUCK A TAXIWAY LIGHT WHILE TAXIING ON TAXIWAY T. EASTBOUND, AT THE MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. N55LP CONTINUED TAXIING TO THE SIGNATURE RAMP. ACCORDING TO RAMP PATROL, PILOT ROLAND WEDENSTROM DID NOT REPORT THE DAMAGE UNTIL AFTER ARRIVING AT THE SIGNATURE RAMP. RAMP PATROL INTERVIEWED THE PILOT AND REPORTED FINDING DEBRIS AT TAXIWAY T. THE GLASS GLOBE AND LIGHT DAMAGE MATCHED THE PROPELLER BLADE OF N55LP. RAMP PATROL FINISHED THEIR LIGHT CHECK ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE STRIKE AND VERIFIED THAT ALL TAXIWAY LIGHTS WERE OPERATIONAL AT THAT TIME. THE TAXI LIGHTS ARE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY SEVEN FEET, CLEAR OF THE HARD SURFACE TAXI AREA. THERE WAS NO CONSTRUCTION AROUND TAXIWAY T. AFTER CONTACTING WEDENSTROM, HE REMEMBERS STRIKING SOMETHING, AND THOUGHT THE PROPELLER STRUCK A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION LIGHT. WEDENSTROM CLAIMS HIS LANDING GEAR NEVER ROLLED OFF THE HARD SURFACE. DADE COUNTY PERSONNEL REPORTED THAT THE ONLY TIRE TRACKS IN THE TURF NEAR THE BROKEN TAXIWAY LIGHT WERE FROM A VEHICLE LIKE A TRUCK OR CAR AND NOT FROM AN AIRPLANE. THIS CASE IS CLOSED 2/14/95.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
