## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THIS PRIVATE PILOT, FROM ST. CHARLES, IL DEPARTED DALHART, TEXAS ENROUTE TO CLOVIS, NM WHERE HE AND HIS WIFE WHO WAS THE PASSENGER, INTENDED TO SPEND THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY REACHED THEIR FINAL DESTINATION OF LAS CRUCES, NM. THE PIC WAS DISTRACTED BY A CONVERSATION WITH HIS WIFE DURING THE FINAL APPROACH TO CVN. HE ADMITS FORGETTING TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN, AND THOUGHT THE HORN WAS THE STALL WARNING. THE SUBSEQUENT GEAR UP LANDING RESULTED IN NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT OR PASSENGER. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED ONLY MINOR DAMAGE. THE PILOT WAS COUNSELED BY THE LBB FSDO. THIS INVESTIGATION IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
