## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JANUARY 10, 1995, AT 0750 EST, A CANADAIR CL-600, N5100X, OPERATED BY XEROX CORPORATION, DURING APPROACH TO LANDING AT ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT EXPERIENCED ZERO DEGREES INDICATION ON FLAPS INDICATOR, WHEN FLAPS WERE SELECTED DOWN. THE CAPTAIN DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND A LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER INCIDENT. THE CAPTAIN DID A POWER SHUT DOWN AND RE-POWERED THE SYSTEM AFTER 90 SECONDS, BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. AN AIRCRAFT MECHANIC AT WILAIR FOLLOWED THE MAINTENANCE MANUAL AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE DISCREPANCIES. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
