## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AFTER TAKEOFF AND AT AN ALTITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 1200/1300 AGL, A NOTICEABLE BUMP WAS FELT IN THE AIRCRAFT, AND IMMEDIATELY THE LEFT ENGINE OVER TEMP LIGHT CAME ON. AN ITT OF OVER 980 WAS OBSERVED ALONG WITH THE INDICATOR NEEDLE SHOWING ABOVE 980 DEGREES C TO 1000 DEGREES C. THE CTOT WAS REDUCED AND TURNED OFF. THE RIGHT ENGINE REDUCED TO ABOUT 85% TORQUE, THE LEFT ENGINE STAYED AT ABOUT 105% TORQUE AND 980 TO 990 ITT. AFTER LEVELING OFF AT 2000', FLIGHT RETURNED TO MEM AND LANDED ON RWY 18R. AFTER LANDING AND CFR STANDING BY, AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO PARKING AREA A3. THERE WAS NO FIRE OR INJURIES TO PASSENGERS. MAINTENANCE DID AN ENGINE CHANGE DUE TO THE HIGH TEMPERATURE THAT WAS INDICATED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
