## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AS STATED IN A LETTER BY MR. RICHARD NELSON: WHILE DOING TOUCH-GO'S MR. NELSON WAS TOLD NOT TO MAKE WIDE TURNS ON HIS APPROACH. AT ONE POINT HE WAS TOLD CLEARED TO LAND RUNWAY 18. HE THOUGHT THEY WERE BRINGING HIM IN AND HE STATED THAT STRESSED HIM OUT. THEN THE TOWER ASKED IF HE COULD MAKE A TURN TO RUNWAY 23. WITH THE RUNWAY CHANGES HE STATED I GUESS I LOST TOO MUCH ALTITUDE. THE AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH THE UPPER LIMBS OF A TREE. NOTE: DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS ABOUT $4000.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
