## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JAN. 13, 1995, AT 1025 EST, A SAAB, SF 340SF, N340SF, OPERATED BY COMAIR INC., DURING CLIMB TO ASSIGNED ALTITUDE FROM BUFFALO AIRPORT, EXPERIENCED RIGHT ENGINE HIGH TEMPERATURE DID NOT GO BELOW 800 DEGREES. THE CAPTAIN DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND RETURNED TO BUFFALO AIRPORT. A LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED ON RUNWAY 23 AT BUFFALO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WITHOUT ANY FURTHER INCIDENT. AN INSPECTION REVEALED AN EXCESSIVE GAS PRODUCER SECOND STAGE SHROUD RUB. THE RIGHT ENGINE WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED. OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS SATISFACTORY AND AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
