## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE OF THE #2 MAIN WHEEL ASSEMBLY DURING TAXI TO TAKEOFF FROM PHL TO YIP. FLIGHTCREW WAS UNAWARE OF THE WHEEL FAILURE. PILOT HAS STATED HE THOUGHT HE HIT A SEPARATION IN THE TAXIWAY AND DID NOT GET AN ANTI-SKID LIGHT INDICATING A PROBLEM. ON ARRIVAL AT YIP THE OPERATOR INSPECTED AIRCRAFT AND REPAIRED DAMAGE TO THE INBOARD AFT SECTION OF #4 ENGINE COWLING; REPLACED #1 AND #2 MAIN WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLIES; REPLACED THE #1 ANTI-SKID DETECTOR AND PERFORMED AN ANTI-SKID SYSTEM CHECKOUT. OUTER WHEEL RIM AND TIRE RETRIEVED AT PHL WAS TAGGED AND SENT TO PMI FRANK BURGER FOR FURTHER ANALYSIS. OPERATOR TO SUBMIT MRR THROUGH THEIR COMPANY PROCEDURES. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
