## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JANUARY 18, 1995, AT APPROXIMATELY 2051 CST, A BOEING 727 AIRPLANE REGISTERED TO NORTHWEST AIRLINES, INC., LANDED AT LITTLE ROCK, ADAMS FIELD (LIT), LITTLE ROCK, AR. UPON LANDING ROLL AIRPLANE BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND VEERED LEFT OF THE RUNWAY CENTER-LINE AND STOPPED ON RUNWAY. A REQUEST WAS MADE, WITH AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER, TO HAVE AIRPLANE INSPECTED FOR DAMAGE. A SUBSEQUENT INSPECTION REVEALED NO DAMAGE TO AIRPLANE, BUT THE NOSE GEAR STEERING PIN WAS MISSING AND LATER FOUND 500 FT. BEHIND AIRCRAFT ON RUNWAY CENTERLINE. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT MEMPHIS INTL. AIRPORT, MEMPHIS, TN (MEMS) AND WAS ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN. THE AIRPLANE WAS NOT DAMAGED AND THE SIX CREWMEMBERS, AND 73 PASSENGERS WERE NOT INJURED. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT RAMP AGENT(S) THAT INSTALLED PIN INCORRECTLY HAD BEEN GIVEN INTENSIVE RECURRENT TRAINING. THE SUPERVISOR OF RAMP OPERATIONS RESPONSIBLE FOR MEMPHIS STATED THAT INTERNAL CORRECTIVE ACTION HAD BEEN TAKEN AND INTERNAL DISCIPLINE RECORDS WERE KEPT. THIS INVESTIGATION AND REPORT ARE CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
