As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JANUARY 20, 1995, 1200 N LOCAL, THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED IAD ENROUTE TO ORF. DURING CRUISE LEVEL FLIGHT, THE NUMBER 1 ENGINE P&W 123A, PCE 121082, WAS OBSERVED TO HAVE LOW AND FLUCTUATING OIL PRESSURE. THE AIRCRAFT DESCENDED FROM ASSIGNED ALTITUDE, AND THE OIL PRESSURE WAS CONTINUOUSLY MONITORED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DIVERTED TO RIC, AND ON 3 TO 4 MILE FINAL, THE NUMBER 1 ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN DUE TO LOSS OF #1 OIL PRESSURE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT RIC WITHOUT INCIDENT AND TAXIED TO THE GATE. THE PIC RECORDED THE DISCREPANCY ON THE FLIGHT DISCREPANCY LOG SHEET, #735766. AN ON SCENE INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED APPROXIMATELY FIVE QUARTS OF OIL REMAINED IN THE NUMBER 1 ENGINE. THE OIL WAS OBSERVED COMING FROM THE HAMILTON STANDARD PROP GOVERNOR MODEL 782490A17, SN 890981, IN THE AREA OF A SOLENOID CANNON CONVERTER. MAINTENANCE WAS DISPATCHED TO TROUBLESHOOT. SDR REQUESTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
