## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AT CRUISE POWER FLYING AT 10,000 FEET ENROUTE TO MORGANTOWN, WV. THE FIRST OFFICER NOTICED SPARKS COMING FROM THE EXHAUST STACKS ON THE RIGHT ENGINE. THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN. ATC WAS NOTIFIED AND ASKED FOR VECTORS TO CLARKSBURG, WV. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. A TEAR DOWN OF THE ENGINE REVEALED THAT THE #1 BEARING FAILED. THE BEARING IS UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE MANUFACTURER AND PRATT & WHITNEY. THIS REPORT CLOSES THIS INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
