## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT FLEW CE-210, N977RH, FROM OCEANSIDE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT TO ORANGE COUNTY/JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT ON A BUSINESS TRIP. AFTER LANDING, HE TAXIED TO MARTIN AVIATION TRANSIENT PARKING. HE THEN LEARNED THAT HE WAS PARKED IN THE WRONG PLACE, SO HE STARTED THE AIRCRAFT AGAIN TO REPOSITION IT TO ANOTHER PARKING SPOT. AS HE TAXIED OUT OF THE FIRST PARKING SPOT, HE MISJUDGED DISTANCE AND STRUCK A PARKED FUEL TRUCK WITH THE RIGHT WING OF HIS AIRCRAFT. THE TRUCK SUSTAINED NO DAMAGE. THE RIGHT WING TIP OF N977RH SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
