## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT STATEMENT: OVERFLEW TO VERIFY CALM WIND AND RUNWAY OBSTRUCTIONS, THEN AN APPROACH. ABORTED WHEN NOT DOWN BY MID-FIELD. REDUCED APPROACH SPEED TO 70 KNOTS. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, BETWEEN 1/3 AND 1/2 DOWN RUNWAY, APPLIED BRAKES. FULL BRAKING NOT ACHIEVED, LEFT RUNWAY ON LEFT SIDE ABOUT 75 FEET BEFORE END. CONTINUED PAST END OF RUNWAY. INVESTIGATION REVEALED DAMAGE TO NOSE STRUT, ENGINE MOUNT, PROPELLER, SPINNER, AND LEFT WING TIP. WITNESS STATED PILOT TOUCHED DOWN AT APPROXIMATELY MID-FIELD. THIS REPORT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
