## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT STATEMENT: ON NIGHT APPROACH TO ONP, GEAR DOWN LIGHT FOR R/M GEAR WOULD NOT GREEN; "TEST" BUTTON CONFIRMED BULB OKAY. EXACTLY THE SAME AS A DAYLIGHT INCIDENT WEEKS BEFORE (MECHANIC CHECKED OUT OKAY, AFTER SUCCESSFUL LANDING; ABOUT 6 MORE SUCCESSFUL LANDINGS MADE AFTERWARDS, BEFORE THIS INCIDENT.) SAME EMERGENCY PROCEDURES FOLLOWED AS BEFORE, INCLUDING SLIPPING AIRCRAFT TO LEFT, NO HELP ON LIGHT. UPON LANDING GENTLY, GOT FLAPS UP, WHEN RIGHT WING STARTED DOWN. IMMEDIATELY CLOSED OFF MIXTURE, RIGHT ENGINE WING CONTINUED DOWN, AIRCRAFT WENT OFF RUNWAY TO RIGHT, JUST CLEAR OF RUNWAY. PROPELLER, GEAR, OUTER-REAR RIGHT WING SCRAPED. INVESTIGATION REVEALED LANDING GEAR TUBE ASSEMBLY PART #0840125-15 ROD FAILED. M OR D TO FOLLOW. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
