## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON FEBRUARY 12, 1995, AT 1615 LCL, A CANADAIR CL-600, N5100X, OPERATED BY XEROX CORP., DURING APPROACH TO LANDING AT ROC, EXPERIENCED ZERO DEGREES INDICATION ON FLAPS INDICATOR, WHEN FLAPS WERE SELECTED DOWN. THE CAPTAIN DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND A LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT IS NOW IN MAINTENANCE TO REPLACE ALL OF THE FLEX SHAFTS THAT DRIVE THE FLAPS. ONE SHAFT WAS FOUND TO BE FROZEN IN PLACE. THE AIRCRAFT IS SCHEDULED TO RETURN TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
