## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: UPON APPROACH TO THE HELIPORT, AIRCRAFT N5426U EXPERIENCED AN UNSAFE LANDING GEAR INDICATION. THE EMERGENCY PROCEDURES WERE ACCOMPLISHED WITH NO CHANGE IN THE INDICATION. THE PILOTS ELECTED TO RETURN TO THE PRIMARY BASE FOR MAINTENANCE, WHERE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS MADE WITH NO INJURY AND NO DAMAGE. MAINTENANCE ADJUSTED THE NOSE GEAR PROXIMITY SWITCH. A RETRACTION CHECK WAS MADE AND GEAR SAFE INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. A MALFUNCTION OR DEFECT REPORT WILL FOLLOW.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
