## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE NON-INSTRUMENT RATED PRIVATE PILOT UNINTENTIONALLY LANDED GEAR-UP ON HIS FIRST LANDING ATTEMPT DURING HIS FIRST FLIGHT IN SEVERAL MONTHS IN HIS OWN AIRCRAFT, AFTER BEING DISTRACTED BY CONTROL TOWER COMMUNICATIONS. WHILE ON DOWNWIND N1821F, BEING PILOTED BY FRANK A. CONARD, OWNER, SOLE OCCUPANT, AND PILOT-IN-COMMAND, WAS INSTRUCTED BY SUS ATCT TO EXTEND DOWNWIND FOR TRAFFIC. WHEN CLEARED FOR A TOUCH AND GO LANDING, N1821F WAS ALSO ADVISED THERE WOULD BE ONE DEPARTURE BEFORE HIS ARRIVAL, AS THE TOWER TAXIED ANOTHER AIRCRAFT ONTO THE RUNWAY FOR TAKEOFF. THESE DISTRACTION SUFFICIENTLY INTERRUPTED MR. CONARD'S ESTABLISHED HABIT PATTERN THAT HE FAILED TO LOWER THE AIRCRAFT'S LANDING GEAR, LANDED GEAR-UP, AND CAUSED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BELLY SKIN, ANTENNAS, AND PROPELLER OF N1821F. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ INCIDENT CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
