## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE INCIDENT OCCURRED DURING A BALLOON LANDING ON A CITY STREET IN A CONGESTED RESIDENTIAL AREA WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF NAPA, CALIFORNIA. THE BALLOON WAS OPERATED BY NAPA VALLEY BALLOONS, INC. THE PURPOSE OF THE BALLOON FLIGHT ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, WAS TO CONDUCT A SCENIC RIDE FOR HIRE WITH SIX PASSENGERS. THE PILOT STATED TO ME DURING A TELEPHONE CONVERSATION THAT SHE INTENDED TO LAND ON THE END OF THE STREET BECAUSE THE FIELD NORMALLY USED FOR LANDING WAS TOO WET FOR PASSENGER AND BALLOON RECOVERY. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
