## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON FEBRUARY 25, 1995, AT APPROXIMATELY 1204 MST, N11F, A PITTS-S1-B, LANDED ON RUNWAY 17L AT APA. UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT WAS UNHARMED. NO PASSENGERS WERE ON BOARD. THE PILOT WAS ON A LOCAL FLIGHT AND NO FLIGHT PLAN HAD BEEN FILED. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION IT WAS NOTED THAT THE CROSS TUBE SUPPORTING THE MAIN LANDING GEAR STRUTS HAD FAILED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
