## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT STATED THAT WHILE HE WAS ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 08 HE NOTICED THAT THE WINDS WERE VARIABLE OUT OF THE NORTH AND EAST. AS HE TOUCHED DOWN ON THE RUNWAY, HIS FOOT SLIPPED OFF THE RUDDER. WHEN HE PUT IT BACK ON THE RUDDER, HE ALSO HIT THE BRAKES CAUSING THE AIRPLANE TO VEER OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT. IT WENT THROUGH A SWALE, AND ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SWALE, IT TIPPED OVER ON THE NOSE, THEN SETTLED BACK ON ALL THREE WHEELS. THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED AND THE AIRPLANE SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER AND FRONT COWLING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
