## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

LANDED LONG ON TOUCH AND GO TRIED ABORT TAKEOFF. LOST CONTROL. RAN OFF RUNWAY INTO DEEP SNOW. FLIPPED OVER. (-23) WHILE PRACTICING TOUCH AND GOES, THE STUDENT STATED THAT HE LANDED LONG ON RUNWAY 18 BECAUSE HE WAS HIGH ON THE APPROACH. HE THOUGHT HE WOULD RUN OUT OF RUNWAY SO HE BEGAN TO VEER OFF THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. WHEN THE NOSEWHEEL CONTACTED THE SNOW, THE AIRCRAFT TIPPED FORWARD ON THE NOSE, HIT THE LEFT WING, THEN CAME BACK DOWN ON THE WHEELS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI95LA099](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI95LA099), Mar 9, 1995: Cessna 152 (N4598B), Waukesha, WI, substantial damage. Probable cause: the student pilot's failure to maintain directional control during an aborted takeoff. A factor was the snow covered ground which contributed to the airplane nosing over as it departed the runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
