## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AIRCRAFT DEPARTED CID ENROUTE TO ORD. AFTER TAKEOFF GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. GEAR WAS MANUALLY EXTENDED AND AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO CID AND LANDED SAFELY. AIRCRAFT HAD SLOWED AND WAS ATTEMPTING TO TAXI OFF RUNWAY WHEN THE NOSE WHEEL WENT OFF THE TAXIWAY AND INTO THE MUD. THERE WAS A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF HYDRAULIC FLUID IN THE RIGHT WHEEL WELL. INSPECTION REVEALED A FAILED SWIVEL IN THE RIGHT HYDRAULIC LINE ABOVE THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR. AIRCRAFT WILL BE FERRIED TO CHICAGO FOR REPAIR. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
