## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT STATED THAT DURING TAKE-OFF, IT APPEARED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS LIFTING ON GROUND AFFECT AND WAS NOT GAINING ALTITUDE AND WAS NOT SURE IF IT WAS DUE TO LOSS OF ENGINE (PILOT STATED ENGINE RPM WAS AT 2400) POWER OR IF IT WAS DUE TO A DOWNDRAFT. HE DECIDED TO ABORT THE TAKE-OFF AND APPLIED THE BRAKES WHICH INITIALLY GRABBED THEN FAILED. HE THEN STATED THAT HE HAD TO GROUND LOOP THE AIRCRAFT TO KEEP FROM RUNNING OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WENT UP ON ITS NOSE AND FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. NO INJURY TO THE PILOT. SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS LATER DONE DURING THE RECOVERY PROCESS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
