## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT STATED "ON ROLLOUT THE NOSEGEAR COLLAPSED..." HE FURTHER STATED "WE LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR BEFORE THE FINAL APPROACH FIX AND DID GET THREE GREEN INDICATION WITHIN THE NORMAL LANDING GEAR DOWN TIME. SEVERAL VISUAL LIGHT CHECKS WERE DONE DURING THE APPROACH INCLUDING A VISUAL CHECK IN MIRROR." LASTLY, THE PILOT STATED "MY STUDENT DID NOT, TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, LIFT THE GEAR HANDLE UP." THIS OFFICE INVESTIGATION WAS UNABLE TO FIND AN AIRWORTHINESS MALFUNCTION TO CAUSE THE NOSEGEAR TO COLLAPSE. HOWEVER, WE HAVE NO EVIDENCE THE PILOT CAUSED THE COLLAPSE. THIS INVESTIGATION IS CLOSED, NO FURTHER ACTION TAKEN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
