UNABLE TO CONTACT ATC ON ANY FREQUENCY, THE PILOT TAXIED BACK TO THE RAMP AREA. THE PILOT TAXIED BACK OUT TO THE HOLD SHORT LINE OF R17R, AND SEEING NO LIGHT GUN SIGNAL TO INDICATE OTHERWISE, TOOK OFF AND PROCEEDED TO HIS DESTINATION. THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT WAS 2310 CDT. TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT AND NO LOSS OF SEPARATION OCCURRED. THE INCIDENT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
