## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

IMPACTED GROUND AND BURNED. (-23) ALL AIRCRAFT RECORDS WERE CONSUMED IN THE FIRE DURING THE IMPACT. THE AIRWORTHINESS, AIRMAN COMPETENCE AND ANY FAR VIOLATION COULD NOT BE DETERMINED BECAUSE THE AIRCRAFT WAS DESTROYED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI95FA114](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI95FA114), Apr 2, 1995: Maule M-5-235C (N56349), Rush City, MN, destroyed, 1 fatal. Probable cause: THE PILOT'S POOR JUDGMENT IN ATTEMPTING TO LAND IN THE EXISTING WIND CONDITIONS. HIS LACK OF EXPERIENCE WAS A FACTOR.

## Other reports on N56349 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19850914045049A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19850914045049A), Sep 14, 1985: Maule M5235C (N56349), Bloomington, IN, Substantial damage. Veered on rollout during crosswind landing. Right main gear collapsed and aircraft nosed over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
