## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON FINAL APPROACH, WHEN POWER WAS APPLIED TO TERMINATE THE APPROACH, THE NO.2 ENGINE OF AIRCRAFT N5418A STOPPED AT 55 PERCENT TORQUE. THE NO.1 ENGINE CONTINUED TO ADVANCE. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO BEEP THE NO.2 ENGINE UP, BUT THE NO.1 ENGINE CAME DOWN TO 55 PERCENT TORQUE INSTEAD. THE ROTOR RPM DROPPED OUT OF THE "GREEN", BUT THE LANDING WAS COMPLETED UNEVENTFULLY WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR INJURY TO THE OCCUPANT. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED FUEL CONTAMINATION CAUSED THIS INCIDENT AND THE INCIDENTS REPORTED IN^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
