## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON APRIL 5, 1995, A BE-60, N6BS,ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN FROM ST. PAUL, MN (STP), TO HOT SPRINGS, AR (HOT) EXPERIENCED A POWER FAILURE OF THE LEFT ENGINE DUE TO FUEL STARVATION. POWER WAS RESTORED BY USE OF CROSSFEED. THE PILOT ASKED THE MEMPHIS CENTER CONTROLLER TO IDENTIFY THE NEAREST AIRPORT (RUSSELLVILLE, AR, M06) WHERE HE MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING. THE PILOT STATED THAT, UPON INSPECTION, THE LEFT TANK WAS FOUND TO BE EMPTY, AND THAT THE RIGHT TANK HELD APPROXIMATELY 20 GALLONS OF FUEL. THE OPERATOR REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FUEL FLOW METER FOR THE LEFT ENGINE, WHICH WAS CLAIMED TO BE READING 7 GALLONS PER HOUR LESS FUEL THAN WAS ACTUALLY BEING DELIVERED. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
