## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: US AIR FLIGHT 697 ENROUTE FROM PITTSBURGH TO SEATTLE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY DUE TO A CHOKING PASSENGER. THE FLIGHT DIVERTED TO BILLINGS, MT, WHERE THE PASSENGER AND HIS BAGGAGE WERE DEPLANED. THE PASSENGER WAS TAKEN TO THE DEACONESS MEDICAL CENTER IN BILLINGS. THE AIRCRAFT PARKED AT THE UNITED PARCEL SERVICE RAMP. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REFUELED BY LYNCH AVIATION AND A NEW DISPATCH RELEASE WAS OBTAINED. THE FLIGHT THEN PROCEEDED ON WITHOUT INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
