## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: A MECHANICAL RELIABILITY REPORT WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE CHDO AS REQUIRED BY FAR 135.415 (A)(6). DURING A REPOSITIONING FLIGHT FROM SUS TO ORD ON MAY 17, 1995, N154AG, A LEAR 23, EXPERIENCED AN ENGINE FLAMEOUT ON THE LEFT ENGINE. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, AS THEY STARTED TO LEVEL OFF AT FL 410, THE LEFT ENGINE FLAMED OUT. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED, AND THEY DIVERTED TO THE DEC AIRPORT. THE ENGINE WAS RESTARTED AT APPROXIMATELY 20,000 FT. AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT DECATUR, IL, WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
