## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON 27 MAY 1995 MR. WILLIAM WYLIE WAS THE PILOT IN COMMAND OF N6234Y A PA-23 ON A FLIGHT IN THE VICINITY OF TAMPA BAY EXECUTIVE AIRPORT. THE FLIGHT IN QUESTION WAS A MAINTENANCE FLIGHT AFTER A HYDRAULIC LEAK WAS REPAIRED IN THE LANDING GEAR. MR. WYLIE THEN EXTENDED THE GEAR AND MADE SEVERAL PASSES OVER THE AIRPORT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MR. WYLIE MADE AN APPROACH TO THE RUNWAY AND AS THE WEIGHT OF THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ONTO THE LANDING GEAR, THE GEAR COLLAPSED. THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
