## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS IN CRUISE FLIGHT FROM BEDFORD, MA TO GRIFFISS AIR FORCE BASE WHEN HE NOTICED THAT THE OIL PRESSURE WAS DROPPING. HE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED IN A FARM FIELD. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE THREADS ON THE OIL FILTER ADAPTER HAD WORN OFF AND THE OIL LEAKED OUT AROUND THE ADAPTER ASSEMBLY SYSTEM. THE OIL FILTER KIT WAS INSTALLED UNDER STSC SA3262WE. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
