## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THIS WAS A VFR FLIGHT WITH NO FLIGHT PLAN,FOR PLEASURE WITH ONLY THE PILOT ON BOARD. THE REPORT WAS THAT HE ENTERED THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AND CONTINUED THE APPROACH TO LANDING. HE REPORTED NO UNUSUAL OCCURRENCES UNTIL HE REALIZED THE LANDING GEAR WAS NOT EXTENDED AND IT WAS TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING. THE PILOT ADMITTED THAT AFTER THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP, HE LOOKED AT THE LANDING GEAR CONTROL SWITCH AND IT WAS STILL IN THE "UP POSITION". THIS OFFICE CONSIDERS THIS INCIDENT CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
