## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MR. FELTS DEPARTED FORT STOCKTON-;ECOS CO AIRPORT WITH THE FUEL SELECTOR ON THE RIGHT MAIN TANK. AT APPROXIMATELY 1000 FEET AGL., HE SWITCHED FUEL TANKS TO THE LEFT AUX, THE FUEL FLOW STARTED TO DECREASE AND HE TURNED ON THE AUX FUEL PUMP. WHEN THE ENGINE QUIT HE SWITCHED BACK TO THE RIGHT MAIN TANK. THE ENGINE NEVER RESTARTED PRIOR TO THE GROUND CONTACT. THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE RIGHT MAIN TANK WAS APPROXIMATELY THREE FOURTHS FULL, THE LEFT AUX TANK WAS EMPTY AND THE RIGHT AUX ONLY APPROXIMATELY ONE EIGHTH FULL. MR. FELTS WAS COUNSELED ON THE PROPER FUEL MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES IN A BL-1419-3A WITH THE THREE AUX FUEL TANKS AND THE PROPER PROCEDURE OF RETURNING TO THE TANK THAT YOU JUST SWITCHED FROM IN THE EVENT THAT YOU LOSE FUEL PRESSURE ON THE TANK SWITCHED TO.
