## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON SEPTEMBER 10, 1995 AT ABOUT 07:30 AST A BEECHCRAFT BE-1900, N80552, REGISTERED TO MARKAIR EXPRESS AND PILOTED BY RON LUND WAS INVOLVED IN A TAKEOFF INCIDENT AT ANCHORAGE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, ON TAKEOFF CLIMB OUT OF ANCHORAGE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, HE EXPERIENCED WHAT HE FIRST PERCEIVED AS AN ENGINE-OUT, BUT SOON REALIZED THAT THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING BUT THE PROPELLER HAD GONE INTO FEATHER. PILOT RETURNED TO ANCHORAGE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. NEITHER OF THE PILOTS NOR THE FIFTEEN PASSENGERS SUSTAINED INJURY. THE BETA VALVE WAS DISCOVERED LOOSE AND IMPROPERLY RIGGED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
