## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON OCTOBER 13, 1995 AT APPROXIMATELY 1755 PDT, A BELLANCA CH-10, N7569F, OPERATED BY DOGFIGHTERS, INC., STRUCK THE PROPELLER AND SPINNER DURING A LANDING AT SAN CARLOS, CA, ON A LOCAL TRAFFIC PATTERN FLIGHT. THE PILOT IN COMMAND, MR. THOMAS J. DIETZ, WHO HOLDS A COMMERCIAL PILOT CERTIFICATE, DEPARTED SAN CARLOS AT APPROXIMATELY 1730 PDT FOR TAKE OFF AND LANDING PRACTICE. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. MR. DIETZ HAD MADE SEVERAL PRACTICE LANDINGS AT SAN CARLOS BEFORE THIS FINAL LANDING. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO TURN OFF AT THE FIRST EXIT, BUT THE AIRCRAFT HAD NOT SLOWED SUFFICIENTLY AND SETTLED ON ITS NOSE WHEN HE APPLIED TOO MUCH LEFT BRAKE. THE AIRCRAFT MOVED APPROXIMATELY ONE FOOT FORWARD AFTER THE NOSE CONTACTED THE GROUND. THERE WAS LITTLE DAMAGE. NO PILOT DEVIATION OR 8020-11 GENERATED. THIS TERMINATES THE INVESTIGATION AND THE REPORT IS CLOSED.
