## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AIRCRAFT STRUCK DEER DURING LANDING ROLLOUT ON RUNWAY 21 AT PARKERSBURG, WV. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT'S STATEMENT, HE OBSERVED THREE DEER ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY SOON AFTER TOUCH DOWN AND IT APPEARED THAT TWO WERE MOVING TO HIS RIGHT CROSSING THAT RUNWAY AND ONE REMAINED ON THE LEFT SIDE. AS THE AIRCRAFT APPROACHED, THE DEER ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY STARTED TO MOVE ACROSS TO THE RIGHT SIDE. IT PASSED UNDER THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT BUT WAS STRUCK BY THE RIGHT PROPELLER. PART OF ONE PROPELLER BLADE SEPARATED AND STRUCK THE FUSELAGE JUST IN FRONT OF THE LEADING EDGE AT THE WING ROOT AND PENETRATED THE SKIN OF THE AIRCRAFT, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE CREW OR PASSENGERS. SUBMISSION OF THIS REPORT CLOSES THIS INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
