## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON A VFR FLIGHT FROM VAN NUYS, CA TO BROWN FIELD. AS MR. SOUTTERRE ENTERED THE PATTERN AT BROWN FIELD, HE WAS CLEARED TO LAND. HE WAS THEN TOLD TO EXTEND HIS DOWNWIND FOR A LANDING C-130 AIRCRAFT. AS HE TURNED FINAL APPROACH, MR. SOUTTERRE REALIZED THAT HIS RADIOS WERE MALFUNCTIONING. HE ELECTED TO PERFORM A GO-AROUND. WHILE FLYING HIS SECOND TRAFFIC PATTERN CIRCUIT, HE AGAIN ATTEMPTED TO RECONTACT THE TOWER WITH NO RESPONSE. ON SHORT FINAL APPROACH, HE OBSERVED A GREEN LIGHT FROM THE TOWER. HE FOCUSED ON HIS LANDING APPROACH, AND DID NOT OBSERVE A RED LIGHT FROM THE TOWER. HE THEN LANDED WHEELS UP ON THE CENTERLINE OF RWY 26R. THE AIRCRAFT SLID ABOUT 150 FEET ON THE CENTERLINE AND CAME TO A REST. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT FUSELAGE WAS MINIMAL. THE AIRCRAFT PROP SUSTAINED DAMAGE TYPICAL OF A LOW RPM PROP STRIKE. THERE WAS NO INJURY TO THE PILOT, WHO WAS SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT. IT WOULD APPEAR THE PILOT WAS DISTRACTED ENOUGH BY THE GO-AROUND AND THE RADIO PROBLEM THAT HE BROKE HIS ROUTINE AND LANDED WHEELS UP. NO FURTHER ACTION ON THIS INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
