## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOTS CLAIM OF ENGINE FAILURE COULD NOT BE SUBSTANTIATED. ALTHOUGH HE DOES NOT HOLD A MECHANIC OR REPAIRMAN CERTIFICATE HE HAD SIGNED OFF A CONDITION INSPECTION IN THE AIRCRAFT RECORDS A NOTICE OF INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN SENT. HIS MEDICAL CERTIFICATE WAS EXPIRED. THE PILOT CLAIMED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED. WHILE MAKING AN EMERGENCY LANDING THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A POWER LINE. THE PROPELLER, LEFT WING, LEFT WING STRUT & TOP OF FUSELAGE RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. THE POWER LINE WAS DAMAGED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
