## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: WHILE LANDING IN A FIELD OWNED BY MR. GAVIN GILLESPI, A FRIEND OF THE PILOT'S, HE CAME OVER A SLIGHT KNOLL AND AFTER TOUCHING DOWN HIT A SMALL DEPRESSION THAT WAS OBSCURED BY TALL GRASS. THIS BROKE A SUPPORT STRUT TO THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO GROUND LOOP AND BREAK ONE BLADE ON THE THREE BLADED PROP. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE PILOT HAD THE PROPERTY OWNERS PERMISSION TO LAND THERE. THE PILOT WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
