DURING THE INVESTIGATION FOUND ROD END BEARING FOR RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR DRAG BRACE BROKEN IN THE THREAD AREA. ROD END BEARING APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN CRACKED FOR SOME TIME PRIOR TO FAILURE. MR. BUMGARDNER COULD NOT REMEMBER WHERE HE PURCHASED ROD END BEARINGS AT, BUT THEY WERE AIRCRAFT ROD END BEARINGS. SUGGESTED HE NEED TO CHECK ALL LIKE ROD END BEARING ON AIRCRAFT FOR CRACKS.
