## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: A/C WAS BEING MARSHALED IN BY ATA MECHANIC AT GATE B-12. CHICAGO EXPRESS A/C WERE PARKED 4 DEEP AT NEXT GATE AND OVER THE LINE THAT WAS COVERED WITH SNOW. A CHICAGO EXPRESS EMPLOYEE WAS "WING WALKING" THE RIGHT WING OF ATA . HE SIGNALED THE STOP, BUT THE A/C DIDN'T STOP IN TIME DUE TO THE WET RAMP. A/C STRUCK THE RUDDER OF THE CHICAGO EXPRESS A/C WITH MINOR DAMAGE TO IT. ATA HAD NO DAMAGE. ACTION TAKEN BY AMTA IS THAT NO MECHANICS WILL PARK A/C AT GATE B-12 WITH CHICAGO EXPRESS A/C CLOSE TO THE B-12 GATE LINE. CITY WILL ENHANCE THE RED LINES TO BE BETTER RECOGNIZED BY RAMP PERSONNEL. HAVE DISCUSSED THIS WITH STATION MGR. AND SEE NO NEED FOR FURTHER ACTION. WILL CONTINUE TO SURVEY THIS AREA IN CONJUNCTION WITH GEOGRAPHIC AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
