## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON NOVEMBER 29, 1995 MR. CHARLES N. PERKINS, HOLDER OF AIRMAN CERTIFICATE NUMBER 2505478, ATTEMPTED TO OPERATE N93AA ON A VFR CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT FROM BURLINGTON, VERMONT TO OLD TOWN, MAINE. MR. PERKINS STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT RESPOND AS IT SHOULD HAVE AS HE ATTEMPTED TAKEOFF FROM LAKE CHAMPLAIN. THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ONTO THE STEP, HOWEVER, ALL ENGINE PARAMETERS WERE NORMAL. AFTER TWO ABORTED ATTEMPTS TO TAKEOFF, MR. PERKINS CHANGED HIS PLAN AND BEGAN TO TAXI BACK TO THE DOCK. WHILE TAXIING BACK, A GUST OF WIND CAPSIZED THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE ABLE TO EXIT THE AIRCRAFT AND SUSTAINED NO INJURIES. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
