## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON DECEMBER 5, 1995, AT 1300 CDT, A BEECH C-90, N90MV, OWNED AND OPERATED BY ELLIOTT AVIATION, WAS ENROUTE TO DECATUR, IL FROM FREEPORT, IL WHEN THE CREW NOTICED THE RIGHT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE DROP WITH NO FURTHER INDICATIONS. THE CREW REDUCED POWER TO THE ENGINE AND WHITE SMOKE STARTED TO COME OUT OF THE EXHAUST PIPE. THEY CUT FUEL TO THE ENGINE, CALLED CHICAGO CENTER AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. THEY WERE CLEARED TO LAND AT PEORIA AIRPORT, PEORIA, IL. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS OPERATING UNDER FAR 135 FLIGHT RULES. FURTHER INVESTIGATION HAS REVEALED THAT ELLIOTT AVIATION HAS MADE AN ARRANGEMENT FOR A LOANER REPLACEMENT ENGINE TO BE INSTALLED BY BYERLY AVIATION IN PEORIA, IL. THE REASON FOR THE ENGINE MALFUNCTION WILL NOT BE KNOWN UNTIL THE ENGINE IS TORN DOWN. A SERVICE DIFFICULTY REPORT IS TO BE SUBMITTED WITH THE FINDINGS. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
