## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1995, AT APPROXIMATELY 1330 MST, BEECH F33A, N5599P, HAD ITS LANDING GEAR COLLAPSE DURING THE "GO" PORTION OF TOUCH-AND-GO'S AT TUCSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, TUCSON, ARIZONA. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED ITS BASE AT GOODYEAR, ARIZONA ON A TRAINING FLIGHT. THE AIRPLANE RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO ITS PROPELLER, FLAPS AND LANDING GEAR. THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT, WHO WAS NOT FLYING, WAS NOT INJURED, NOR WERE THE TWO STUDENT PILOTS. NO DAMAGE TO PROPERTY ON THE GROUND WAS REPORTED. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED. ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT, PRIOR TO THE TOUCHDOWN SEQUENCE, HE PULLED THE SWITCH HANDLE OUT OF THE SAFETY DETENT AND MOVED IT TO THE "DOWN" POSITION. HE VERIFIED THE GEAR HANDLE WAS DOWN AND LOCKED AND THERE WERE 3 GREEN LIGHTS ON THE UPPER AND LOWER PANEL. HE SAID THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN NORMALLY, AND THEN HE POSITIONED THE FLAP LEVER TO THE "UP" POSITION AND SET TRIM FOR TAKEOFF. HE SAID THE FLYING PILOT THEN SET FULL THROTTLE. THEN THE LANDING GEAR WARNING HORN CAME ON, AND THE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED DOWN THE RUNWAY. THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND STEERED THE AIRPLANE OFF THE RUNWAY TO MINIMIZE CHANCE OF FIRE. ALL THREE OCCUPANTS SAFELY EXITED, AND THERE WAS NO FIRE. INCIDENT CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
