## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON DECEMBER 13, 1995, A PIPER-31-350 LANDED WITH GEAR UP AT HUSLIA AIRPORT ALASKA. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT IS STILL AT HUSLIA AIRPORT. THE OPERATOR TOOK PHOTOGRAPHS WHEN THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY BUT THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME. ON DECEMBER 14, 1995, FAIRBANKS FSDO CONDUCTED AN INTERVIEW WITH THE PILOT, MR. ROBERT MASON. DURING THE INTERVIEW MR. MASON DISCLOSED THAT HE FAILED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. HE COMPLETED THE BEFORE LANDING CHECKLIST BUT OMITTED LOWERING THE GEAR. HE INTENDED TO LOWER THE GEAR WHEN HE WAS CLOSER TO LANDING BUT HAD FORGOTTEN TO DO SO. PILOT STATED HE DID NOT HEAR THE LANDING GEAR WARNING HORN UNTIL HE REMOVED THE HEADSET. INSPECTION AND PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE DAMAGE AREA WAS CONDUCTED BY INSPECTOR HUGH A. KEITH AND INSPECTOR ERIC L. JONES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
