## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON DECEMBER 15, 1995, AT 1845 HOURS LOCAL TIME, A SAAB MODEL SF-340A, REGISTRATION NUMBER N77A, REGISTERED TO AMP, INC., EXPERIENCED A FLUCTUATING ENGINE PARAMETER ON THE LEFT HAND ENGINE. THE CREW MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LEFT ENGINE SHUTDOWN. THE PILOT IN COMMAND, MR. RAYMOND L. EVELAN, LANDED THE AIRCRAFT AT HARRISBURG INT'L AIRPORT (MDT) WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT HAD DEPARTED GREENSBORO, NC (GSO) FOR AN IFR, FAR 91, CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT TO HARRISBURG, PA (MDT). INSPECTION REVEALED A CANNON PLUG HAD COME LOOSE, AND THE PLUG TERMINALS WERE CORRODED. THIS CAUSED THE FLUCTUATION OF THE LEFT ENGINE. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED NO DAMAGE AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT OR COPILOT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED, AND A FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. M & D REPORT TO FOLLOW. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
