## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PART 91 FLIGHT WAS CONDUCTED UNDER IFR, NIGHT CONDITIONS FROM MORRISTOWN, NJ (MMU) TO NEWPORT, VT (EFK). THE PILOT MADE AN NDB APPROACH FOR LANDING ON RUNWAY 36 AT EFK. HE ENCOUNTERED LIGHT ICING CONDITIONS AS HE DESCENDED THROUGH THE CLOUDS. HE WAS SOMEWHAT CONCERNED ABOUT THE ICE BUILD-UP ON THE WING LEADING EDGES. THE BOOTS WERE OPERATING BUT THE ICE WAS BUILDING UP BEYOND THE RANGE OF MILES VISIBILITY. HE BROKE OUT OF THE OVERCAST AT 2000 FEET AND HAD 5 TO 10 MILES VISIBILITY. HE IDENTIFIED THE AIRPORT AND IMMEDIATELY DID A GEAR-UP LANDING ON RUNWAY 36(THIN LAYER OF SNOW AND ICE ON RUNWAY). THE PILOT ADMITS THAT HE FORGOT TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY WITH PROP AND RELATIVELY MINOR BELLY DAMAGE. HE HAD THREE OF HIS CHILDREN ONBOARD (AGES 4, 12 & 13), THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
